About Snosäträ
The cultural quarter Snösätra has been a central platform for urban art and graffiti in Sweden for many years. With its unique area of 6,000 square meters, Snösätra serves as a vibrant meeting place where established and new artists can create and be inspired. In order to develop and strengthen this community, a membership requirement will be introduced from 2025 for anyone who wants to paint in Snösätra.
The board of the Snösätra Cultural Quarter
The board of directors of Kulturkvarter Snösätra is elected annually at our annual meeting and consists of a group of committed people who are passionate about developing and preserving Snösätra as a creative and vibrant place for urban art and culture. We strive for a dynamic and diverse board that can contribute with time, commitment, vision and experience.
The board's duties include:
Dialogue with the city and politicians to secure the area's future and ensure long-term solutions.
Establishing collaborations with artists, institutions and actors in the cultural sector.
Business development so that Snösätra continues to be a relevant and inspiring place for urban art.
Organization of events and initiatives that strengthen Snösätra's role in the art and cultural landscape.
Management of the area's resources to maintain and develop the place for both artists and visitors.
Organization
Snösätra has been run for many years by a committed group of people who have largely worked voluntarily to preserve and develop the place. With support from the city and occasional project funds, we have been able to create a vibrant cultural quarter where artists and visitors have the opportunity to meet and create together.
We believe in a place for everyone – a place where anyone can contribute, create and be part of the community. We invite everyone who wants to get involved and be part of the development of Snösätra.
